Steam Deck Installation Guide

Tested on Steam OS: Stable Version with Developer Mode disabled

Installation

1. Ensure you are in Desktop Mode
2. Navigate to Web Browser
3. Login at https://alderongames.com/
   
   
   
4. Download Linux Appimage
   
   
   
5. Run AlderonGamesLauncherAppimage executable
   
   
   
6. Login to the Alderon Games Launcher
7. Install Path of Titans
   
   • At this point, check if the installation has completed correctly. Should be able to hit Play on the Alderon Games Launcher in Desktop-Mode and load in with no issues. Be aware you will have limited in-game controls at this point.

Add as a Non-Steam Game

1. Open Steam in Desktop Mode
   
2. Navigate to and select Games > Add non-Steam game, which will open the window pictured below.
   
   
   
3. Select Browse
   1. In the top right corner adjust the filter to "Show Hidden Files"
      • The icon appears as two lines with dots
   2. In the drop down on the bottom select "All Files"
      
      
      
   3. Navigate to /home/deck/.config/Alderon Games/Path of Titans/LinuxNoEditor/PathOfTitans/Binaries/Linux/
      
      
      
   4. Select PathOfTitans-Linux-Shipping
      
      
      
   5. Click Open then Add Selected Program which will add Path of Titans as a non-Steam game via the PathOfTitans-Linux-Shipping executable
      
      
      
   6. Confirm the file paths are correct
      • Go to Non-Steam Game 'PathOfTitans-Linux-Shipping > Settings > Properties
        
        
        
        1. • Target: /home/deck/.config/Alderon games/path of titans/LinuxNoEditor/PathOfTitans/Binaries/Linux/PathOfTitans-Linux-Shipping
           • Start In: /home/deck/.config/Alderon games/path of titans/LinuxNoEditor/PathOfTitans/Binaries/Linux
             
             
   7. Close Window
   8. Close Steam
      
      

Open Game-Mode

You should now be able to run and use Path of Titans in game mode without issue. Just access the PathOfTitans-Linux-Shipping shortcut now located in your Steam game library.

• Players will need to manually update Path of Titans each update. This is completed by manually updating through the Alderon Games Launcher in Desktop Mode.
  
  

Confirming Installation/Ease of Access

1. Go to your files and navigate to /home/deck and show hidden files.
   
   
2. Check if running and installed properly. 
   • Navigate to /home/deck/.config/Alderon Games/Path of Titans/LinuxNoEditor/PathOfTitans/Binaries/Linux/
     
     
3. Execute PathOfTitans-Linux-Shipping. This should launch the Alderon Games Launcher if paths are correct. If so this means the installation was done correctly!
   • Side note: You may now move AlderonGames Launcher-1.1.81-Appimage from downloads to Desktop as a shortcut to open and run the Alderon Games Launcher to check for game updates more easily.
